Horizon Technologies CEO John Beckner was quoted in the article “Sigs In Space” by Dr. Thomas Withington, which was published in a recent issue of Armada International. In the article, Beckner says today’s smaller, lighter CubeSats are “relatively inexpensive to produce and launch, and the technology is advancing to allow RF receivers to be deployed in space on relatively small CubeSats.”
The article goes on to describe Horizon Technologies’ Amber Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) data product, which will be launched (via the UK Satellite Applications Catapult) in 2020.
